What a fantastic house, in an idyllic setting with so
much to do. Our families, ranging in age from 53 years
to 15 months had a wonderful weekend here -
grandparents, children and grandchild all found plenty
to do when they weren't enjoying relaxing in the Hot
Tub, listening to the music, using the computer or just
chilling.
Every possible gadget and device, all the equipment you could possibly want all helped to add to the luxurious nature of the house. Every whim and need catered for by willing, helpful and charming people who went out of there way to make us feel welcome.
This is a place I would highly recommend for any age at any time of year. Until you give it a try you won't know what you are missing.

For utter relaxation in a luxurious bright spacious
cottage you need look no further than Saddleback
cottage.
Inside: the cottage offers very comfortable accommodation, with “state of the art” technology, under floor heating, a beautiful open plan kitchen / living space and most importantly comfortable beds!
Outside you can relax in the fantastic hot tub and have all the aches and pains you’ve developed massaged away.
The garden and decked area are perfect for taking a bit of time out between activities. There is a great deal to do in the surrounding area. We didn’t manage to do everything that we’d hoped to.
We loved the walks, that start right at the end of the garden.
Granton on Spey has a new “paint your own pottery” shop, a must for all ages and talents!
We enjoyed a very nice lunch opposite the pottery in a cafe called J.J’s, which has cakes to die for.
On the road between Nethy Bridge and Granton on Spey the Revack Estate has lovely food, grounds, a play area and walks (if you follow the right trail)
We all really enjoyed our visits to: “Landmark”, a great day out.
Fish and chips in Aviemore Centre…delicious.
The Cairngorm Funicular Railway.
Lunch and evening meals at the Heather Brae Hotel were good, the staff welcoming, and it is just a few minutes walk from the cottage.
All in all we had a fantastic time and would love to go back, I would have no hesitation in recommending Saddleback Cottage to anyone.
Thank You
Chris, Archie, Lewis, Sarah and Alice

We enjoyed a wonderful (but far too short!) relaxing
family weekend in Saddleback Cottage earlier in March.
It would have been very easy simply to stay in the cottage all weekend, and just enjoy the facilities. The spacious cottage is far more luxurious than our own home - every creature comfort (you'll love the gadgets) has been considered by the owners, and we certainly felt very pampered during our stay.
There are absolutely loads of great things to do and places to see around the Nethybridge and Aviemore area, and the scenery is as good as you can get in Scotland.
We'll definitely be returning for another stay at Saddleback!

We had a fantastic weekend at Saddleback Cottage. The
location was perfect for walking and cycling through
the Abernethy Forest, and only a short stroll down to
the playppark and football pitch for the kids made this
location ideal. Horses in the field next door was also
a big hit!
Nethybridge has all you need, with a well stocked Spar shop and post office. We ate in the Nethybridge Hotel Bar one evening, which was very disappointing, perhaps try the Heatherbrae Hotel next time.
The cottage was very spacious, with excellent facilities. The hot tub was easy to use (kids loved it- would have stayed in all weekend) and my favourite gadget (out of many), was the Sonos sound system! We'll be back!
The swing next to the tree could be a bit higher.

We have just returned home from a very relaxing visit
to Saddleback cottage. The highlight of the weekend was
chilling out in the hot tub, with a glass of wine (or
two!) whilst watching the lunar eclipse.
We've stayed in many cottages around the area but Saddleback Cottage is very special, well equipped, we loved the space, the gadgets and being in the forest was a wonderful base for walks.
The owners couldn't have been more helpful!
Would very much recommend!
